Although based in the USA, I spent my early years in the UK and Europe. As my interest in motorsport developed, those formative experiences naturally led me to prefer cars from England and the Continent over American-made vehicles. This also sparked a passion for SCCA and international racing, rather than stock car or drag racing.

My first race car was a 1964 Turner Mk III, purchased from a neighbor. I then moved on to a Lotus 23, followed by a variety of open-wheel, sports, and production-based cars.

The championships feature a large number of cars designed specifically for competition, well maintained and with comparable performance, driven by experienced drivers.
