Prepare your season

The 2025 season is about to get underway. With the teams sharpened up and the drivers ready for battle, this season is already shaping up to be one of the most competitive and dynamic in recent years.

Let’s find out how to prepare for the 2025 season !

1. Administrative checks and signing on

Administrative checks play a crucial role in motor sports. They allow the organiser to confirm the information provided by the participants when they entered the events.

Here are a few recommendations to help you prepare for this stage.

Licence check

You must hold a licence to compete in an Interseries event. You can obtain your licence from your ASN. For French competitors, go to your FFSA personal space at the following address: https://licence.ffsa.org/

Technical documentation

According to article 4.1.3.1. of the regulations, the presentation of a vehicle at the preliminary scrutineering is equivalent to an implicit declaration of conformity by the competitor. Each competitor must be in possession of and present a FFSA three-part technical passport (or a VIF from the HSCC), or an equivalent foreign document such as the PTH/PTN at the administrative and technical scrutineering. Without this document, the competitor risks being refused entry.

We recommend the use of the PTH for the series of this championship. Our technical steward is at your disposal to help you obtain this document.

2. Technical scrutineering

Preliminary technical inspections are essential for all competition vehicles. Here are a few practical tips to help you prepare for the start of the season with peace of mind.

Documents

As mentioned above, you must be in physical possession of your technical passport. Whether it comes from your ASN, the FIA or is regulated (VIF), it must be with you and cannot be left at home.

The Clothing sheet is also essential. You must list all your racing equipment on it. It is crucial that the items listed on this sheet are worn during the competition. In the event of an inspection by the technical commissaire, this sheet will be the only valid reference and its absence could prevent you from competing. Our technical steward is available to help you draw it up.

Finally, the tank sheet is also required. Your tank has an expiry date, so it’s a good idea to take a moment to check that it still complies with current standards.

3. Car checks

It’s essential to carry out this stage with care and precision. In fact, it helps prevent various problems during the first technical checks of the season. Below is a non-exhaustive list of things to check before heading off to your first race.

Make sure that the sticker on your official document (FIA, FFSA, VIF, etc.) is up to date.

On-board extinguisher : The extinguisher must be marked EX followed by its homologation number. It must also appear on one of the lists approved by the FIA (such as List 16). If this is not the case, the extinguisher is no longer compliant and must be replaced.

For electrically activated extinguishers, check that the warning light is working correctly and that it is visible from the outside, a key requirement from 2025. For manually activated extinguishers, check that the cables are taut and that the sheath is not corroded.

Driving position : Take the time to adjust your driving position. Your helmet should not extend beyond the top of your roll bar and should be below the 5 mm axis. This is a crucial safety point.

Fuel tank : No leaks are tolerated. It is also necessary to ensure that the FIA label is visible and that the homologation number corresponds to that shown on your documents. During the checks, both the document and the tank will be checked.

Bodywork and audiovisual equipment : These items must be correctly installed and secured. Refer to the FFSA appendices or consult your scrutineer for more details.

LED rain light : This must be functional.
