Preparing for the 2025 Season

As the days grow longer and the hum of engines begins to fill the air, excitement is palpable. The new season is about to kick off, promising thrilling races, breathtaking performances, and unforgettable moments. With finely tuned teams and drivers ready to battle it out, this season is already shaping up to be one of the most competitive and dynamic in recent years.

Let’s explore how to get ready for the 2025 season.

Administrative Checks

Administrative checks play a crucial role in motorsports. They allow the organizer to confirm the information provided by participants during their event registration.

Here are some recommendations to properly prepare for this step.

License Verification

Holding a license is mandatory to compete in an Interseries Championship event. You can obtain your license from your ASN. For French competitors, access your personal FFSA account at the following address: https://licence.ffsa.org/.

Technical Document

According to Article 4.1.3.1 of the regulations, presenting a vehicle for preliminary inspections constitutes an implicit declaration of compliance by the competitor. Each participant must possess and present a three-section FFSA technical passport (or an HSCC VIF) or an equivalent foreign document such as a PTH/PTN during administrative and technical checks. Without this document, participation may be denied.

We recommend using the PTH for series in this championship. Our technical commissioner is available to assist you in obtaining this document.

Preliminary Technical Inspections

Preliminary technical inspections are essential for all competition vehicles. To approach this crucial step with confidence in the technical bay, here are some practical tips to properly prepare for the start of your season.

Documents

As previously mentioned, possessing a physical technical passport is mandatory. Whether it comes from your ASN, the FIA, or is regulated (VIF), it must be with you at all times and cannot be left at home.

The Habillement Sheet is also essential. You must list all your racing equipment on this document. It is crucial that the items listed are the ones you wear during the competition. In case of an inspection by the technical commissioner, this sheet will be the only valid reference, and its absence could prevent you from competing. Our technical commissioner is available to assist you in its preparation.

Finally, the fuel tank sheet is also required. Your fuel tank has an expiration date, so it is advisable to take a moment to ensure it remains compliant with current regulations.

Vehicle Inspections

It is essential to carry out this step with care and precision, as it helps prevent various issues during the first technical checks of the season. Below is a non-exhaustive list of elements to verify before heading to your first race.

  • Ensure your official document sticker (FIA, FFSA, VIF, etc.) is up to date.

  • Onboard fire extinguisher: It must have the marking “EX” followed by its homologation number and be listed in one of the FIA-approved lists (such as List 16). If it does not meet these criteria, it is no longer compliant and must be replaced.

  • For electrically activated extinguishers, ensure the indicator light functions correctly and is visible from the outside—this is a key requirement starting in 2025.

  • For manually activated extinguishers, check that the cables are properly tensioned and that the sheath is not corroded.

  • Driving position: Take the time to adjust your seat. Your helmet must not exceed the top of the roll cage and should remain below the 5 mm axis. This is a crucial safety point.

  • Fuel tank: No leaks are tolerated. Ensure the FIA label is visible and that the homologation number matches the one on your documents. During inspections, both the document and the fuel tank will be checked.

  • Bodywork and audiovisual equipment: These elements must be properly installed and secured. Refer to the FFSA appendices or consult your technical commissioner for more details.

  • LED rain light: It must be fully functional.
