KENNOL Grand Prix de France HISTORIQUE 2025
The dates of the next KENNOL Grand Prix de France Historique were already known. All that remained was to discover the program and the happy surprises concocted by its organizers : the Circuit Paul Ricard, HVM Racing and the FFSA. In this respect, the veil was lifted on the occasion of the Rétromobile Show and the official presentation of the event on the FFSA stand. Lifted, but not completely. Certain announcements likely to excite the public will remain secret for a few weeks yet…
For the rest, this seventh edition of the KENNOL Grand Prix de France Historique, the fifth to be held on the Circuit Paul Ricard, will remain true to its fundamentals, offering enthusiasts a unique opportunity to watch decades of motor sport unfold before their eyes. Races, shows and exhibitions will once again revisit the history of single-seater categories, starting with the most famous of them all: Formula 1, which this year’s edition will honor in a way never seen before, thanks to the presence of former champions and the return to the track of countless single-seaters bearing the seal of history.
Living or mechanical legends, they’ll be closer to you than anywhere else, as the organization strives to maintain the popular and festive character of the event. Last year, the KENNOL Grand Prix de France Historique attracted some 80,000 spectators over three unforgettable days !

1. Renault celebrates 20 years since its first world championship title
The anniversary was a fitting occasion to celebrate. In 2005, Renault concluded its F1 season in the most glorious way possible, taking the double title of constructor and driver world champion with Fernando Alonso. This was a first for the manufacturer as a team, following its successes in the 90s as an engine manufacturer. Two decades later, the KENNOL Grand Prix de France Historique will provide an opportunity to celebrate this anniversary in style.
An XXL exhibition will take visitors back in time to the great hours of the Renault F1 saga, while several of the reunited single-seaters will take to the track in a parade on both Saturday and Sunday. The famous V10-powered R25 from 2005, which was the delight of Fernando Alonso and Giancarlo Fisichella, will be in the hands of its test driver at the time, Franck Montagny. The turbocharged RS10 driven by Jean-Pierre Jabouille in 1979 will be entrusted to his son Victor, while René Arnoux and Nicolas Prost will take turns aboard the 1983 RE40 ex Alain Prost.
2. A sensational line-up of F1 glories
Year after year, the KENNOL Grand Prix de France Historique sees its list of prestigious guests grow. Next April, the phenomenon will take on a new dimension with the presence of a record number of F1 stars. World champions such as Alain Prost and Jacques Villeneuve are announced, as are drivers Jean Alesi, David Coulthard and Mark Webber, not forgetting of course René Arnoux, Franck Montagny, Philippe Alliot and Yannick Dalmas. And the list is set to grow even longer between now and April! The presence of these great names in motorsport will continue on track at the controls of former F1 cars during the “Fast & Famous: Legends on Track” show, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.
3. Scuderia Ferrari and over 70 Formula 1 cars to rediscover
At last count, more than 70 Formula 1 cars from all decades will be on the Paul Ricard circuit. Like Renault, Ferrari will be sending some of its most emblematic single-seaters, which the public will have the privilege of seeing in action again, some in the hands of former Scuderia members.
In addition to the numerous parades, single-seater drives and themed exhibitions, F1 cars from the 2000s will also be on display in Hot Laps on the Formula GP grid and, during the race, on the “Masters Racing Legends F1” grid. This unique championship will bring together some thirty iconic single-seaters from the 70s and early 80s, mostly powered by the Ford Cosworth V8. Two Grid Walk and two races of rare intensity will feature them.
4. 13 races on the menu, including the Group C Masters in a new line-up
In terms of competition, the KENNOL Grand Prix de France Historique will once again showcase the leading categories of recent decades. In addition to the two F1 grids, the history of single-seaters will also be reflected in the races of the F2 and F3 Classic Interseries grids and the Formula Junior Lurani Trophy. En will also be evoking endurance racing in the 200 km GT/Protos event and, what’s more, in the two brand-new Group C Masters races. A major novelty of this 2025 edition, this last grid will offer fans the opportunity to see former Le Mans 24 Hours stars from the 1982/1993 period racing again.
